New wheels

All sales and services offered by Japan Spec ARE FINAL. No returns or exchanges will be accepted, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Japan Spec does not accept returns for the following reasons:
- The customer does not know the product
- Brake caliper clearance, spacers may be needed sometimes. (Please confirm with us before ordering)
- Deliberate fraud
- Incorrect product or size ordered (Please check with us before placing an order)
- Incorrect installation of a properly sized tire (e.g. tire stretching).
- Faulty installation of a tire due to the fault of a technician.
- Product with unknown build time

NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES ON ANY ORDER WITH OUT-OF-STANDARD DIMENSIONS . Any order requiring modifications to the vehicle in order for the wheels to be used (Tire stretching/Fender pulling/rolling wings/out-of-standard camber/widebody/etc) cannot be returned under any circumstances due to installation difficulties. It is the buyer's responsibility to purchase wheels that can be used on their vehicle and to make the necessary modifications. Japan Spec cannot be held responsible for modifications made by the customer to their vehicle and the consequences associated with them. CANCELLATION OF ORDER IMPOSSIBLE . Considering the custom nature of most of our products, it is impossible to cancel an order once it has been placed. Under no circumstances is Japan Spec required to accept to take inventory of a custom product that has been ordered by a customer. Restocking fee of 35% if Japan Spec agrees to take inventory of a product that has been ordered by a customer. In the event that a customer cancels his order, the deposit requested when ordering is kept in full.

 

Before fitting the tyres, please ensure that all specifications and finishes match what you ordered. Also ensure that there has been no damage during transport. Once the tyres are fitted, the wheels are yours to keep. Any problems must be reported as soon as possible within 10 days of receiving the wheels.

Used wheels

Most of the used/rebuilt wheels we sell are over 15 years old. Due to age, corrosion and metal fatigue no guarantee can be given. Although we always do our best to restore these products to like new for rebuilt products, there will always be limits to what is possible. So damage such as cracks, corrosion, small imperfections may occur. Sometimes there is no remedy that can be given to fix these issues.

We import used wheels. All JDM wheels displayed are in USED CONDITION. Unless otherwise noted, the faces are in stock condition, meaning they are not refinished. Please note that the majority of these wheels are used Japanese wheels and many are over 10-15 years old. Chipping, scratches, pitting, etc. are normal for wheels of this age. We offer refinishing services if desired for an additional cost. Do not expect wheels to be in near mint condition if they are not refinished.

Cancellation of order before shipment

In case of customer error, credit card, Paypal and Affirm transaction fees are not refundable. It is the customer's responsibility to carefully check their cart and the selected payment method. Japan Spec cannot be held responsible for fees incurred due to customer error.

Shipping

By using Japan Spec's shipping services, you agree to the following terms:

Shipping Fees: The shipping fees displayed on our website include standard shipping services and do not include insurance. We offer this option by default in order to provide cost-effective shipping solutions to our customers.

Shipping Insurance: It is important to note that Japan Spec does not automatically include shipping insurance by default in order to provide savings to our customers. Japan Spec assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, or theft of your package during the shipping process if you choose not to purchase shipping insurance. We strongly advise you to consider purchasing insurance to protect your shipment.

Understanding of Liability: You, as the customer, acknowledge and understand that if you choose not to purchase insurance for shipping, Japan Spec will not be responsible for any damage, loss or theft that may occur to your package during transportation.

Customs Fees (International Orders): For international orders outside the contiguous United States (US 50 States), customs fees are not included in the shipping cost. Any applicable customs duties or import taxes are the sole responsibility of the recipient.

Optional Shipping Insurance: To add shipping insurance to your order, please contact our Facebook/Instagram page or email.

Insurance Coverage: The terms and coverage of shipping insurance will be determined by the insurance provider. Any claims or disputes regarding insurance coverage should be directed to the insurer.

Claims Procedure: If your package is damaged, lost or stolen during transport and you have purchased insurance, you must follow the claims procedure outlined by the insurer to obtain compensation or settlement.

Responsibility for Accuracy of Information: It is your responsibility to provide accurate delivery information, including the correct delivery address and contact details. Japan Spec will not be held responsible for any problems arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Delivery Times: While we strive to meet estimated delivery times, Japan Spec cannot guarantee delivery dates. Delivery times may vary due to factors beyond our control, such as weather conditions, customs procedures, or carrier delays.

Shipping Restrictions: Certain products or shipments may be subject to specific shipping restrictions or regulations. It is your responsibility to ensure that your shipment complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

Changes to Terms: Japan Spec reserves the right to update or modify these Shipping Terms.

Repair/rebuild services

All wheel repair or rebuild work is done to the best of our ability, based on the original condition of the wheels. We strive to restore each wheel to near perfection, but they will not and cannot be perfect or brand new.
As a customer, you must understand and accept that you cannot expect a "perfect" or "new" wheel once the service is performed.
Any wheel, no matter how slightly warped, CAN crack during the straightening process. We assure you that most wheels do not crack and we take every precaution to preserve the integrity of your wheel throughout the process. In the event that your wheel cracks beyond repair, we will not charge for the time or labor spent on the effort to straighten the wheel. If we deem a wheel unsafe, we will not remount the tire and wheel on the vehicle (no exceptions). This is for your safety. However, you, the customer, will be responsible for the cost of a replacement wheel (which you can purchase from Japan Spec or are free to shop elsewhere). Occasionally, small marks or discolorations may be left during straightening if the wheel has been severely bent or has a bowed top lip, and by having your wheel straightened you agree that this is acceptable.
Some types of cracks cannot be welded and not all wheels are repairable. Most often this is due to safety reasons or structural compromise. Sometimes it is more cost effective and less expensive to replace a damaged wheel with a replacement wheel. Some types of cracks cannot be welded and not all wheels are repairable. Estimates given to customers do not constitute a contractual obligation on cost. Your wheel will be reviewed by our staff upon processing and we will contact you if there is a change in cost. Plated finishes, special colour matches and severely damaged or distorted wheels may incur additional charges.
We reserve the right to change prices in certain cases, but we will always inform you and ask for your approval before charging you a price increase or undertaking additional work. Our wheel refinishing results are at the high end of industry standards. It is important to note, however, that no matter how good a refinishing process is, it does not result in a brand new wheel. Often, refinishing a used wheel does not always guarantee new wheel results. When refinishing a wheel, it is to be expected that there will be minor imperfections in the finish, such as subtle color variations from original equipment, metallurgical variations in the wheel alloy itself that cannot be refinished, the occasional dust particle in the sealed finish, pre-existing cosmetic injuries that exceed what can be safely filled or machined, the back and inside of the barrel may not be primed, and other similar characteristics. Our results are considered by many customers to be fantastic, although a refinished wheel will never be a perfect match to a new OEM wheel. You agree to set your expectations accordingly, and if you have any special matching or finishing requirements, you must specify them up front so that they can be included on the work order and invoice.

Please note that most of our used wheels come from Japan and are over 10 years old. They come from an environment that is very conducive to corrosion, which is an irreversible mutation of the raw metal itself. In order for the wheels to be in a usable condition, it is normal for them to have some corrosion or chrome pitting. Sensei 6 offers a refurbishment service for an additional cost to refurbish them.

Damage in transit: Japan Spec takes full responsibility if the item is damaged in transit by container for all new parts orders. Exception: All items made of FRP/or other similar materials that are meant to be painted over, it is normal that these items present defects, when installed and painted by a professional these defects will be covered, it is the normal process for these types of parts. For used items, no transport warranty.
